Kayla Gotto

Ballet, jazz, Lyrical & tap

Kayla started dancing at age 5 at Monona Academy of Dance. From there she moved to Stoughton Center for the Performing Arts for 3 years. At age 9 Kayla started at A Step Above where she spent the next 9 years training. When she turned 12 she joined A Step Beyond Dance Company and continued with the company for 6 years competing at various dance competitions such as Rainbow, Starpower, and Dreamstar. Kayla started ballet when she was 5 and started training in tap and jazz just a few years later. She continued to expand her training with learning styles such as lyrical, musical theater, contemporary and pointe.

Kayla started assisting classes at A Step Above at the age of 12 and continued assisting for years after. She assisted girls as young as 3 and up to dancers in middle school. She began subbing as a teacher at A Step Above her freshman year of college when she was home from school and taught class of all ages.

Kayla attend the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee fall of 2017 with a major in dance. There she studied ballet and modern and performed in two performances over the course of the year. She also took a Fosse Master class at UWM as well. She has also participated in MCVD Summer intensive, the Pulse Dance Convention and Tremaine Dance Convention and Competitions for several years.

Kayla is very excited to be teaching at A Step Above this coming year.
